TheAmerican 7-pin socketon the Ford Ranger (Wildtrak) refers to the7-way RV blade connectorused for towing RVs, yachts, and trailers, transmitting signals for Lighting, brakes, and power supply.

For the2023–2026 Chinese-made Ford Ranger, a dedicated trailer wiring harness interface is reserved at the rear bumper. Aspecial American 7-pin plug-and-play wiring harnesscan be installed directly without wire cutting.

Difference Between American 7-Pin & European 7-Pin

American 7-pin: Flat blade contacts, with standardized pin definitions and wiring.
European 7-pin: Round pin contacts, with completely different pin definitions and wire colors.Thetwo types are not interchangeable.

Recommended Accessories

Special wiring harness: American 7-pin trailer harness for Chinese-made Ranger (plug-and-play).
Trailer plug: American 7-pin male plug (installed on the trailer).

Troubleshooting
